| An open letter to all who attended: We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your help with the 3rd Annual Friends of the Warwick Animal Shelter Car Show on June 13th of 2010. While less-than-perfect weaher conditions held our registered number of cars to sixty-two, overall, we were very successful raising donations – and collected $7513.00 for our cause ! Your support is the main reason we were so successful. All the money raised from the show will be used to help get the Warwick Animal Shelter back up and running after this year's March floods completely submerged the building. Everything inside except the steel cages had to be discarded. As of this note, the shelter has been re-wired, had new plumbing and sheetrock installed. Ceiling tiles are in place, as are all the new countertops. The grand re-opening should come any day. We would like to extend our sincere thanks for your help in making this a most successful car show. Sincerely, Ruth Napolitano, Show Director on behalf of Friends of the Warwick Animal Shelter PO Box 9285 Warwick RI 02889 |
